Trinity Lutheran Church has worked with Exodus World Service over the years to collect and provide three "Welcome to America" packs for three refugee families.
Exodus World Service mobilizes the Christian community to welcome and befriend refugees. They do this by educating churches and individuals about the plight of refugees, connecting volunteers with refugees through practical service projects, and empowering people to be champions for the refugees. Refugees often arrive in the United States with only a few personal possessions. By providing a family “Welcome to America!” pack,” we attempt to turn an empty apartment into a home by collecting and delivering all the basic household items they may need on the day they arrive.
Thank you to all who donated items for the Welcome Pack! Trinity and Christ Church UCC members delivered our Pack to a family of seven at the beginning of December. We look forward to building another Welcome Pack soon!
