Good News Garage

Troy was unemployed and homeless, sleeping in his car in a Walmart parking lot. Then his car with 216,000 miles stopped running, Good News Garage had it towed to Trinity Lutheran Church to attempt repairs only to find the engine had failed. Troy had multiple job interview offers but no way to get to them. When all seemed bleak God sends a wonderful car to us out of the blue, the car had just had about $2,000 in repairs done to it when it was decided to donate it to Good News Garage.

Out of the blue again came a partnership with St. Edna’s Catholic Church to pay for all expenses to transfer title, plates, and pay for a year of car insurance. Troy got his car on Tuesday morning and had interviews lined up by Wednesday afternoon. It seems that God sometimes waits till the last minute so that we know it has his hand making things happen.

Theater and Theology

So what are your plans for this week? Want to have some laughs and conversation? Theater & Theology is going to give the "going virtually digital" a try. Please suggest any other free streaming service you have experience with. For this initial event during this week use (it is free) to watch The Brothers Bloom. "Sign in" which is free, search for this movie with these specific words which is free, click on this title, go to upper right hand corner for "watch options", click "watch on IMDb" and the movie should start playing. Questions or comments contact Rich Brunner 847.577.0876 or John Stoffregen 847.650.7608.

Description (Comedy, Action)

The Brothers Bloom are the best con men in the world, swindling millionaires with complex scenarios of lust and intrigue. Now they've decided to take on one last job - showing a beautiful and eccentric heiress the time of her life with a romantic adventure that takes them around the world.

Then join us on Saturday, May 16th starting at 4:00 pm for a Zoom conversation. Typically there will be some mention of the movie with the opportunity to take the conversation in any direction you choose. Make some popcorn, comb your hair and let's have a chat!
